Class Gift/Memorial and 65th Reunion Lottery Game
I. Introduction
The spirit of this challenge is more than raising money for a gift to PHS and creating competition for a lottery winner in 2016. It is an expression of our feelings of connection and verification of our idea that we are a special graduating class. We are going to plan and execute a reunion for the year 2016.
II. Purpose of the Game
A. Raise money for a Class Gift.
B. Create a Class Memorial.
C. Start a Lottery for the 65th Reunion.
III Rules of the Game
A. Only members of the PHS class of 1951 are eligible to participate.
B. The game will cover a period of 15 years from October 2001 to October 2016.
C. As long as they are survivors, participants agree to pay $1.50 per month for a 15-year period (180 months).
D. Payments can be made yearly ($18.00) or in advanced sums up to a maximum of $270.00.
E. No refunds will be made.
F. The game will remain open to accept players for a period of 5 years (October 2006). At that point each player will have invested $90 (5 years x $18), which vests him/her and their name will be added to the Class Memorial. During this period name recognition for deceased or other class members, who do not participate in the game, can be recognized by other classmate donations of $90.
G. Class members, who do not want to participate in the Reunion Lottery, may stop after donating $90.
H. Only players who continue to participate at the rate of $18 per year or pay $270 in full are eligible for a share of the price money in 2016.
IV. A Committee will be established to Manage the Class Gift/Memorial and 65th Reunion Lottery Game.
A. Monitor and report on the project
B. Keep records of money collected and players contributing.
C. Make an annual report to the class at mini-reunions, e-mail and mail outs.
D. Develop plans to perpetuate the committee, so that in 2016 there is easy access to the money for proper distribution.
E. Develop plans for publicity at the proper times between now and 2016, and determine how to distribute the funds.
V. Miscellaneous
A. Surviving players do not have to be present at the 65th Reunion in 2016 to win.
B. Class members, married to each other, can play together or separately to claim one or two prizes.
VIII. Representation of Plaque to accompany 1951 Class Gift.
